Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PromptPilot ("PromptPilot", "we", "us"), operated by Zongyu Xie, handles information when you use our website and desktop application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account information — when you create an account, we collect your email address, your display name (if provided), and the sign-in method you use (email/password, Google, or GitHub).
• Content you create in the Service — your saved favorites, your progress data (experience points, level, daily streak, achievements), and your Pro or trial status.
• Technical data — basic information such as your browser type and approximate region, and data stored locally in your browser (see "Cookies & local storage").
• We do NOT collect or store payment card details. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card number.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the Service and let you sign in to your account.
• To sync your favorites, progress, and Pro status across your devices.
• To send you product updates and announcements only if you opted in when registering.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

3. Legal bases (for EU/EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: performance of a contract (operating your account), consent (marketing emails — you can withdraw it at any time), and legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and functional).

4. Service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — handles account authentication and stores your account data (favorites, progress, Pro status). Subject to Google's privacy terms.
• Lemon Squeezy — our merchant of record; processes purchases of Pro activation codes and coin packs. Subject to Lemon Squeezy's privacy terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

5. Marketing emails

If you opted in, we may occasionally email you about new features and prompt packs. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us. We will not add you to marketing emails without your consent.

6. Cookies & local storage

The Service uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences and progress, and Firebase may set cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to comply with law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.

9. Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing zongyufred@gmail.com.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Our providers (Google, Lemon Squeezy) may process your data on servers located outside your country. By using the Service you understand your data may be transferred and processed in other jurisdictions.

13. Third-party links

The Service contains links to third-party AI services (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and DeepSeek). Those services are operated by other companies and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the Service.
